The glass
What a Ford Ranger windscreen actually carries
The Ford Ranger is a dual-cab, super-cab and single-cab ute, and the screen is more steeply raked than the ute screens of ten years ago, and physically larger, which means more glass to handle and a bigger bonded area carrying load.
Grade matters more on a Ranger than cab style: a heated windscreen is fitted to some grades and not others, and a heated screen is a different part with its own element and connector rather than an option added to a standard one.
Where the grade carries Ford Co-Pilot360, there is a single forward-facing camera mounted behind the glass, just ahead of the mirror behind the mirror, and it is recalibrated once the new glass is bonded in. Base work grades often carry none of it, and we say so rather than quoting a calibration you do not need.

What is different about fitting a Ford Ranger
Many Rangers are fleet or trade vehicles, so the job is usually scheduled around when the vehicle is standing rather than around a workshop's day.
Trays, canopies, bar work and aerials are the norm rather than the exception. None of it prevents a mobile fit, but it changes how much room we need around the front of the car.
Utes take more stone damage than anything else we fit, simply because of where they spend their time. If the chip is small, away from the edge and out of your line of sight, a repair keeps the original bonded glass in the vehicle and there is no calibration to arrange afterwards.
