The glass
What a Toyota HiLux windscreen actually carries
The Toyota HiLux is a dual-cab, extra-cab and single-cab ute, and the screen is upright, relatively flat screen compared with a passenger car, which makes it a straightforward panel to handle but an easy one to chip at the leading edge.
Cab style changes the rear glass, not the windscreen: a single cab, an extra cab and a dual cab all take the same front screen but different back glass, and a canopy or a tray changes what sits behind it again.
Where the grade carries Toyota Safety Sense, there is a single forward-facing camera mounted behind the glass, just ahead of the mirror behind the mirror, and it is recalibrated once the new glass is bonded in. Base work grades often carry none of it, and we say so rather than quoting a calibration you do not need.

What is different about fitting a Toyota HiLux
HiLux utes are working vehicles more often than not, so the practical question is usually where it can stand still for the cure rather than which glass it takes.
Bull bars, driving lights, UHF aerials and roof racks are common on a HiLux and sit close to the screen. They do not stop the job, but we would rather know before we arrive.
Utes take more stone damage than anything else we fit, simply because of where they spend their time. If the chip is small, away from the edge and out of your line of sight, a repair keeps the original bonded glass in the vehicle and there is no calibration to arrange afterwards.
