What a Chery windscreen usually carries
Before we quote a Chery, we work out what is actually in the glass. On current Chery models that usually means rain sensor on higher grades and acoustic glass on some models.
Behind the mirror sits a single forward-facing camera mounted behind the glass, just ahead of the mirror, feeding Chery driver assistance. The windscreen has to carry the right bracket and a clear optical zone in front of the lens, and the camera is recalibrated once the new glass is bonded in.
Chery's Australian range is new enough that almost every car on the road carries camera-based assist.

Chery driver assistance and why calibration matters
Chery driver assistance reads the road through the windscreen, so replacing the glass moves the camera and the system has to be recalibrated rather than merely reconnected.
Chery calls its driver-assistance package Chery driver assistance. The part that concerns us is the camera behind the windscreen. It reads lane markings, the vehicle ahead and, on most systems, pedestrians, and it does that through the glass.
Take the old windscreen out and put a new one in, even a perfect fit, and the camera is no longer looking at the world from exactly the same angle. A few tenths of a degree at the glass becomes metres of error at a hundred metres down the road. That is why Chery driver assistance needs recalibrating after a replacement rather than merely being reconnected.
Coverage varies by grade on a Chery far more than by model year, so we confirm it from your build rather than assuming. If it needs calibrating, it is in the quote, not added later.
